Johannes Schmitt:

The past years I gathered quite some experience in playing arranging and tuning drums.

Now it’s been more than 20 years of drumming. As a live drummer I mostly played with bands writing their own music, two jazz combos and a couple of cover projects. Recently I am focusing on playing as a session drummer.

4 years as a recording engineer:

In 2016 I started working for a professional recording studio based in Darmstadt. Specialized on recording I ran more than 200 sessions with different genres such as hip hop, jazz, funk, pop and rock.

Also in 2016 I started working for  BlueLines Backline Rental, one of the biggest backline companies in Germany. As a backliner and drum tech I prepared and tuned the drums amongst others for Mark Giuliana and Jonas Burgwinkel (both HR-Jazzfestival).
